Ohabioh is one of the first people who made me believe that it’s possible to be self employed and that I should strive after what I love. I first found out about her from her Instagram and it took off from there. I am obsessed with Ohabioh’s unique sense of style. It will be a slow going process trying to learn the gist of things and get my blog together, but I know it will be worth it in the end because it is something that I love. However, I’m finally beginning what I want to do in life and I could not be more thrilled. It just never occurred to me that I could be the one that people follow for fashion advice and tips. I have been reading fashion blogs for a quite a while now, but just recently it struck me: Why don’t I write about fashion? I certainly enjoy it. I wanted to write about things that I’m passionate about. What do I want to do with journalism? I certainly did not want to be stuck in a court room all day. When I switched my major from English to Journalism I had sort of a melt down. I’ve always loved pairing outfits together and seeing what new twist I can come up with for a top I’ve worn 1,000 times. Honestly, following these blogs and YouTubers is what got me into pursuing fashion. For me, I’m constantly trying to find new fashion blogs to follow. With the change in styles and trends, fashion magazines continue to thrive.Everyone draws inspiration from somewhere.
Although the demand for their hard copy has decreased due to the availability of digital versions, the end of fashion magazines is not near.
While the former ran from 1744 to 1746, the latter began its journey in 1862 and is still running. The Female Spectator and Harper’s Bazaar are among the oldest fashion magazines. Which is the oldest fashion magazine in the world? Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar are the two magazines loved by the affluent people. Which fashion magazines do wealthy people subscribe to? The quality of the work and the aesthetics of the presentation set the top magazines in the fashion world apart from the rest. There is a different sensual and luxurious appeal to the act of flipping through premium quality silky, soft pages that cannot be mimicked online. The experience of browsing cover to cover of magazines like Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The Fashion Issue, and BoF that the best creative minds put together is something that cannot be gained through the screens of smartphones. While the internet is the new go-to place for getting up-to-date with fashion trends and gaining new outfit ideas, it still has a long way to go before beating the top fashion magazines available on the market.
